Hyundai Motor Group has developed a strategy up to 2020. In 2015 Hyundai should launch mass production of hybrid cars. The experience of Hyundai Engineering & Construction will help create an infrastructure for hybrid cars and vehicles on alternative fuel. In March 2011 at Seoul Motor Show Hyundai showed two new development, Hyundai Sonata hybrid and concept car Hyundai Blue2 with an engine on hydrogen and electric plant.

Hyundai is one of the last automakers, who unfold the production of hybrids. Market for these cars will form in 2015, when regulations on automobile emissions of dioxide will be reduced by more than 20% in Europe and the USA.

Hyundai South Korean carmaker introduced a new hybrid. According to Hyundai, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid exceeds the cost of its major competitors, hybrids based on the Ford Fusion, Lexus HS250, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.
