Hybrid car is highly economical car. It is set in motion by a system of electric and internal combustion engine. This car consumes fuel and electricity. There is electric battery in a hybrid car. Its main aim is to power an electric motor.

The main advantage of hybrid car is a reduction of fuel consumption and reducing harmful emissions. It achieved by full automatic control mode of operation of engines by on-board computer. On-board computer can disable the internal combustion engine while hybrid car stopped in traffic. Later hybrid car can move solely on battery power withaout main engine.

Hybrid cars have a complex mechanism, called the recuperation. Recuperation is the process of using the electric motor as a generator of electric current to replenish the battery charge. For example, a hybrid car recovers energy during braking.

Hybrid is an organism resulting from crossbreeding of genetically different parental forms (species, breeds, lines, etc.) (from Lat. hibrida - hybrid). Genetically different forms in our case are internal combustion engine and electric motor. Hybridization is the only option of their survival. On the one hand, the price of oil takes a new height, which inevitably brings the sunset of glorious history of ICE (in the same direction environmental regulations work). On the other, no way to compact and store electricity for long casts great doubt the future of electric vehicles in their genetically pure form.
